Niki Logoreci
Board Member/Executive Director
Niki Logoreci was born in Albania, moving to the United States when he was 11. He has a love for film and how they’re made. He volunteered for the JaxFilmFest when he was 16. When he heard the festival needed new leadership, he jumped at the opportunity. He became the Executive Director of JaxFilmFest in 2016 and has worked to get the festival back in the community spotlight.
Tim Driscoll
Board Member/Artistic & Programming Director
Tim Driscoll has directed and produced content for TikTok, Twitch, Food Network, Ford, and Hyundai. His award winning narrative work has screened at Fantastic Fest, Sitges, Bifan, and Nashville Film Festival among others. His debut feature film, “The Lengths”, won ‘‘Best Feature’ at the Berlin Independent Film Festival and the ‘Indie Spirit’ award at the New Hope Film Festival and is available on Amazon, iTunes and other VOD platforms via Gravitas Ventures.
Monica Whitsel
Board Member/VP of Communications
Monica Whitsel was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. She has a Master of Science in Communication Management with a specialization in Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Communication - Electronic Media with a minor in Mathematics. She has taught dance for more than 15 years at the dance studio she grew up learning how to dance. Monica has been the communications director with the Jacksonville Film Festival since 2018 and the filmmaker liaison since 2019.
Allyson reese
Community Partnership Lead
Allyson has a background in education and non-profit event development. In 2018 she decided to start her own event planning and strategy company, Maebell Events. She partners with other non-profits in Jacksonville to support them with event logistics and fundraising strategy. “It is an honor to be a part of the Jacksonville Film Festival Team. All work is people’s work, and film is one medium that can bring us a little closer together.” Allyson and her husband Brian have now lived in Jacksonville for over 10 years and call Jacksonville home. She loves spending time with friends and family at local breweries; you can catch her at trivia or any game night.
Brian Reese
Board Member/Operations Director
Brian Reese, originally from the Chicagoland area, has called Jacksonville home since 2014. Graduating from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a degree in English and focus in film, he has always had a passion for films and has volunteered with other film festivals, including the Chicago Underground Film Festival. Joining the JaxFilmFest team in 2015, Brian's focus for the festival includes festival management, sponsorship, and volunteer coordinator.
